She was born with the talent of being an amazing artist in Gujranwala where she got her basic education. She always has had new ideas of clearing the vision of one to see his life through paintings. Samra has done MA in 2013 from the Punjab University College of Art and Design, followed by getting a Diploma in Ceramics. Right after her diploma from National Collage of Arts, she started working as an artist with different galleries in Lahore. In 2018 she has done MFA in Visual Art while along, she has been practicing and working on different projects. She got young Artist of the Year Award from Alhamra Arts council 2016, she also got Artist of the year Award by Voice of Pakistan.

Samra Cheema has been a part of several groups shows such as the World Bank Islamabad, World Virtual Museum London, Mussawar art gallery, Unicorn art gallery, Oyster art gallery, Grandeur art gallery in Karachi, Shakir Ali Museum in Lahore, Alhamra Art gallery in Lahore and Bahawalpur Art council.
